On May 6, 2010, Bud Gardner started his 45th year of building his brand of beautiful surfboards and in all that time, he has personally shaped and colored each and every one of them. He is one of the last original surfboard builders from the 60's still building superior surfboards and was honored in 2008 by being nominated for Induction into the East Coast Surfing Hall of Fame in the Pioneer Surfboard Builders Division and on January 15th, 2010, Bud Gardner was officially inducted into the East Coast Surfing Hall of Fame. This 9' 2" Classic made with superior Clark Foam comes with all the bells and whistles, 3 stringers, 1/2" Balsawood center stringer with black glue and two 1/4" Redwood stringers, matching laminated Redwood and Balsawood nose and tail blocks with yellow tinted fiberglass protective tips that glow when the sun shines on them, and removeable Rainbow "Woody" fin. Square tail. Laminated with 8 oz. fiberglass, glossed and polished. Color is "Old School" black resin pinlines outlining transparent yellow tinted resin design on top and bottom. This is the last Clark Foam "Excalibur" model surfboard blank ordered before Clark Foam chose to go out of business.
